# Uploading

> Learn how to upload, manage, and process your files in Sharly for fast, trusted summaries and insights.

### Document types

You can upload PDFs, Word docs, PowerPoint, Excel, Notion exports, text files, and more. Sharly supports 50+ file types, so you don’t need to convert before uploading.

### Scanned PDFs

Yes. Sharly supports scanned PDFs through OCR (image-to-text). On Free, OCR is limited; Pro, Team, and Business include full OCR support.

### File size limit

Each file can be up to **100 MB**. This limit applies on every plan. If a document is larger, compress it or split it into smaller files before uploading.

### Context limit

Separately from the upload size, the amount of text Sharly can analyze in a single query depends on your plan:

Free plan: about 10k tokens (\~a few thousand words) per query.\
Pro: up to \~50k tokens.\
Team/Business: even higher (124k tokens or custom). This ensures you can analyze anything from short papers to full reports.

### Free plan uploads

Free users can upload up to 5 documents per month, with 50 questions. Pro and above remove these limits.\

### Multiple uploads

Yes. You can upload multiple documents at once and ask cross-document questions. Sharly will connect the dots across all sources.

### Cloud integrations

Yes. You can sync files directly from Google Drive, Dropbox, or Notion without downloading first. Click the **Cloud** card on your dashboard, then go to the **Add Source** tab to connect each service.

### Import from URL

You can also import content directly from the web. Click the **Add Link** card on your dashboard, paste any web URL, and Sharly will create a new chat session with that page's content ready for analysis.

### Add files to an existing chat

Inside any open chat, click the **Add Files** button at the bottom-left of the chat input area to attach additional documents to the current conversation. This lets you ask cross-document questions without starting a new chat.

### PowerPoint & Excel

Yes. Sharly supports PPTX and XLSX files. Tables and slides are processed just like PDFs or Word docs.

### OCR (image-to-text)

Sharly automatically converts images, scanned pages, and non-selectable text into searchable text. This lets you summarize and analyze even scanned contracts or academic papers.

### Upload errors

If your file doesn’t upload, try:

1. Checking the file format (50+ supported).
2. Reducing file size or splitting into smaller chunks.
3. Re-uploading after refreshing.\
   If issues continue, reach out to support.

### Delete documents

Yes. You can delete documents anytime from your workspace. Deleted files are permanently removed and no longer available for analysis.
