# Rolling out Sharly on campus

> How members get access to Sharly through your institution, what they see, and a ready-to-send announcement for your library.

## How members get access

    Add each member in the [Admin Console](/academia/admin-console/members#add-a-member).

  <Step title="You let them know">
    Sharly doesn't email new members, so send them an announcement. You can use the template below.

  <Step title="They sign in to Sharly">
    They go to [app.sharly.ai](https://app.sharly.ai) and sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple, using the email address you added.
  </Step>

  <Step title="They're ready">
    Their status in the console changes to **Active**, and they can start using your institution's plan.

## What members see

* **Your institution in the top bar.** Instead of an upgrade button, members see your institution's name or code.
* **No billing.** In **Settings → Subscription**, members see that their access comes from your university's institutional agreement. They never enter payment details.
* **Where to ask.** The same page tells members to contact your university's IT support about access, and Sharly at [info@sharly.ai](mailto:info@sharly.ai) about the product.

## Announce Sharly to your members

Copy this message and adapt the parts in brackets:

3. Upload a paper and ask your first question.

Sharly is included at no cost to you. Your access comes with your institution's plan.

    No. Send them an announcement, for example the template above.

  <Accordion title="A member signed in but doesn't have the institution plan">
    Check that they signed in with the exact email address you added. If they used a different address, add that one too, or ask them to sign in with the address on your list.

  <Accordion title="Can I add someone without a university email address?">
    Yes. Any email address works, as long as it's the one they sign in to Sharly with.

  <Accordion title="Does removing a member delete their work?">
    No. Their Sharly account, documents and chats stay with them. They lose access to your institution's plan at their next session.

  <Accordion title="Can I add a removed member again?">
    Yes. Add their email in **Users** as for any new member.
